  4. The heart only chooses in the present; it does not plan ahead for it is not the mind. As you walk along a narrow path, there is no alternative but to proceed forward or pause. Ah, but once you reach a crossing, only then must you choose.

  5. A Fool’s Journey is an epic tale, an allegory built upon the symbolism of the Tarot. Each chapter illustrates the meaning of a card as the story weaves through the entire deck.  As John is led through foreign lands, we travel through one suit and then the next encountering themes of experience and learning.
